Gdanovych O. History Research Resources within the Internet: Development and Use.

The dissertation covers the practices related to development and use of the history research resources in the Internet, with the emphasis on the development of historical research strategies and methods with regard to data search and placement in the Internet.In the framework of practical activities aimed at development of the web portal of the Institute of History of Ukraine, NAS of Ukraine the author presents an overview of the key principles of history-based websites, specifies the approaches towards history data processing, identifies the format and structure of information resource provision, defines the structuring principles of the data description within information tables. The given dissertation is the first to contain the analysis of user's interaction (interactive medium) with history databases, since the database technologies are the background of the search systems and reference resources.
