The object of research is a process of diversification of machine-building enterprises. The objective is to develop theoretical concepts and methodology and applied recommendations on diversification of machine-building enterprises. The author used methods: theoretical generalization, systematization and comparative analysis, structural-analytical and logical, analog modeling, spreadsheet and graphics, business planning and others. The theoretical value is: developing a method of making managerial decisions on diversification of manufacturing enterprises based on consideration of endogenous and exogenous factors influence and time parameters, improving the theoretical and methodological foundations of the method and rationale of diversification, enterprise, evaluating the effectiveness of the mechanism of economic diversification of engineering businesses in the future development: interpretation category of business diversification, diversification of sequence as well as essential features of its developmental stages. Scientific novelty lies in the development of theoretical and applied studies and recommendations on diversification of economic evaluation of engineering firms. Subject of research are theoretical and methodological and applied the provisions of the study and evaluation of diversification of machine-building enterprises. The recommendations apply to the author's rationale for evaluating the effectiveness and economic diversification of businesses.
