Trefyak N. The Constructional Components of the Individual Style in Mykola Vinhranovs'kyi's Prose

The thesis is devoted to the theoretical problem of characteristic of the individual style by means of severance of its principal components. The style is observed through the prism of correlation between style-making factors and style "bearers". According to it, style is regarded as "a dialectical unity of variety" (after M. Hirshman).In M. Vinhranovs'kyi's prose the style "bearers" first and foremost are plot-compositional, figurative and speech components in the aspect of general and individual as they fully reflect the author's world-view and artistic thinking. But style is finally realized only in the process of creative mutual connection "author - reader". The author's usage of a montage technique is stipulated by the peculiarity of the artist's profession which also finds its reflection in M. Vinhranovs'kyi's prose. The cinematographic ways of rendering the reality, changing the angle of vision, a "recessed shot" or a "close-up shot" are the key devices in the writer's prose.In M. Vinhranovs'kyi's works cooperates the variety of such stylistic trends as impressionism, surrealism and neoromanticism which represent the specific form of the artistically-aesthetic reception and accumulate the above-mentioned "unity of variety" assured by the text of the author who is a representative of the "sixtiers" generation. In such a way the technique of modelling an artistic reality, artistic means and ways assisting an adequate designing of an integral individual writer's style in a recipient's consciousness from the viewpoint of its continuality are studied.
