Investigational was possibility of selection of ostriches to the plant-breeding and paternal herds for physical-morphological signs of incubation eggs. It is experimentally proved that the eggs have the greatest hatching by mass 1301-1700 g (black-neck subspecies of ostriches) and 1501-1700 g (blue-neck subspecies), index of form which 76- 85 % and diameters of air chamber - 41-60 mm. Therefore, a selection to the plant-breeding herd of ostriches, which lay eggs for the noted parameters, creates objective pre-conditions for the increase of him reproductive ability. The monitoring for the herd of ostriches in the unique domestic pedigree factory during four reproductive seasons is conduct. The lethal and semilethal mutants of fourth kinds, in thereby three first out among of one-day old ostrich young and lost embryos was founded. However frequency mutation does not exceed 2,1 %. Taking into account it and results of researches of intensity of growth of ostrich young of two subspecies is the done suggestions in relation to creation of two specialized lines of the future ostriches cross. Is it well prove that for the receipt of ostrich young, intended for growing on meat, on incubation it needed to take away eggs mass 1100-1900 g, with the index of form - 76-85 % and diameters air chamber - 41-60 mm. It provides the increase of output of incubation eggs on 6,6 %. Recommended draw into paternal herd ostriches, which lay eggs for these parameters. The necessity are grounded of reduction 10-day's normative shelf-life incubation eggs to the 4th days for the increase of their hatching, and improvement of the mode of ostriches incubation eggs, at the beginning and during the first half of incubation period. The new method of lay party of eggs on incubation that provides the increase of hatching of eggs and reduction of period of conclusion party of ostrich young is developed.
