Essay

The development of new organocatalytic oxidizing systems based on N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) for selective activation of CH bonds in hydrocarbons, as well as the mechanisms if these transformations involving the phthalimide-N-oxyl radical (PINOo) are described in the dissertation. It has been shown that, depending on the reaction conditions, PINOo acts either as an initiator of the reaction, or as the reagent. The selectivities of the new oxidizing systems where studied utilizing a number of model hydrocarbons, which contain the sets of nonequivalent CH bonds.
