The thesis is concerned with an extensive research of means of expression of the categories of English Verb in different genres of spoken and written English on the basis of British National Corpus. The research of quantitative characteristics of verbal and nonverbal means of expression of Grammar categories is performed. Central, typical and prototypical elements of the categorial meanings expression are discovered. The usage of language means of Grammar categories expression by different age groups and by men and women is analyzed.
