Dobrovynska O. Gender peculiarities of osteodeficiency in osteoarthritis patients: clinical picture, pathogenesis, treatment

Objective - osteodeficiency in osteoarthritis (OA) in patient of different sex; aim - to determine gender peculiarities of change character and clinical pathogenetic significance of structure functional disturbances of joints and bones status in OA, reveal their influence on therapeutic measures efficiency in men and women, improve medical treatment techniques for representatives of different sex; methods - clinical, radiologic, ultrasonic, electrophysiological, atomic absorption - and atomic - emissive - spectrometric, biochemical, immune-enzyme, statistic; novelty and results - peculiarities of different types of OA course in men and women were determined for the first time, osteodeficiency difference in OA, sexual dimorphism of levels of bone metabolism markers and osteoassociated chemical elements in patients with OA was proved, pathogenetic significance of separate parameters in representatives of different sex, their correlation with constituent components of metabolic syndrome, with content of inflammatory proteins in organism and cytokine net character, dependence эффективности использования терапевтических средств от исходного состояния osseous metabolism, characteristics of indexes changes under influence of treatment in men and women were determined, estimation criteria of pathologic process course and prognostication of therapy efficiency were developed, sexual differences of suitability of antiaggregants, chondromodifiers, calcimin and bivalos administration were presented; it was put into practice of rheumatologic department of Donetsk Regional Clinical Territorial Medical Association, in therapeutic clinics of V. K. Gusak Research Institute of Emergency and Restorative Surgery of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and Gorkiy Donetsk National Medical University, in Donetsk centre "Biotic Medicine", and studying process of Gorkiy Donetsk National Medical University; setting - therapeutic and diagnostic process of rheumatologic and therapeutic departments, studying process of therapeutic departments of medical educational institutions.
