The thesis dwells upon the issue of increasing efficiency of treatment and prevention of hyperesthesia of dental tissue by means of development and introduction of a hydrophilic, fluorine-and-aethonium-containing material Stomaftor. Physico-chemical and physico-mechanical features of the material have been investigated. Microbiologic investigations of antibacterial activity of Stomaftor and its components in vitro and in vivo have been carried out. Pathogenetically grounded pattern of treating hyperesthesia of dental tissue has been developed and introduced, results of the treatment analyzed. Efficiency of Stomaftor by clinical, microbiologic, morphologic and laboratory indices has been estimated. Compared with its analogue DMG (Germany), Stomaftor (Ukraine) has been demonstrated to provide a significantly stable effect, thus allowing to be recommended for introduction into dental practice to increase efficiency of treatment.
