Essay

The thesis analyzes modern trends in development of Islamite movements and Sufi tariqats, their new forms as network structures, and special (global, local) features of relations between these movements in modern Islam. The analysis of the main approaches to understand Islamism, trends of its historical development and ideological principles, gives the opportunity to determine religious, ideological and social factors of the emergence and development of Islamism, and to state its main ideological origins.
