On the base of a research of different views of scientists upon the structuring of grain-product subcomplex its component elements were defined. Is determined the content of economic efficiency of production and processing of grain and the system of criterions and indicators that serve as its qualitative and quantitative characteristics. A revealed the external and internal factors of influence upon the efficiency of production and realization of grain and products of its working up. Are suggest the methodical approaches to the researches of efficiency of functioning of enterprises of grain product subcomplex and is made the algorithm of the economic research.
