Essay

The thesis is devoted to the developing of synthesis and functionalization of new type aromatic polyethers, containing perfluorinated mono- and biphenylene fragments in their repeating units, separated by nonfluorinated phenylenoxyde groups. The relationship between the chemical composition, structure and properties of obtained polymers was determined. The main results of this work were obtained by means of IR-, NMR spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography, X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetry analysis. For the first time sulfogroups were incorporate by polymeranalogical transformations into synthesized nucleus-fluorinated aromatic polyethers. The synthesis methods of new fluorocontaining aminomethylated bisphenols were developed. The synthesized compounds were used to introduce the tertiary atoms of nitrogen in polymers. Further those compounds were transferred into ammonium salt and basic forms. The presents of anion- and cation-active function in fluorinated polymers opens the prospects for using the polymer as ion exchange membranes for different applications.
