Khakheleva T. Efficiency of Piler-therapy in Comprehensive Treatment of Maxillofacial Traumas.

The research is grounded on the analysis of case histories of 95 victims with maxillofacial traumas. As a result of study the high-efficiency method of physiotherapy of maxillofacial traumas, i.e. piler-therapy has been updated, theoretically and clinically proved and introduced in public health practice. On the ground of dynamic analysis of the main generalized and local symptoms of early postoperative period and local symptoms of cicatrix formation the clinical efficiency of piler-therapy according to the given technique in case of bite wound on the face has been determined. The improvement of anatomical and functional results of treatment, the shortening of terms of aesthetically acceptable cicatrices formation, the lack of complications and inadequate results of treatment has been achieved. The adequate anatomical results of surgery, smooth course of postoperative period, early activation of movements in temporo-mandibular joints, appropriate functional recovery of mastication and mimic muscles in victims of complicated category (with old abnormal knitting fractures) have been achieved.
