The thesis is the first Ukrainian integrated research of a state phenomenon from etatistic point of view. Theoretical and historical grounds of etatistic paradigm in the study of state are investigated. Common principles of state and society interaction are described. The problem of state axiology is studied. The definition, types and features of modern state are determined. The features of classical and modern etatistic state are investigated. Main characteristics of statics and dynamics of modern etatistic state are discussed.
