Essay

In the dissertation, theoretical substantiation and new solution have been suggested to an urgent task of contemporary pediatrics - improvement of preventive means concerning development and progressing of relapsing broncho-obstructive syndrome in toddlers with respiratory disorders in the neonatal period. Risk for relapsing broncho-obstructive syndrome was proved to increase in toddlers whose mothers smoked during pregnancy, at < 36 weeks gestation, at score < 6 per 5 min. (by Apgar scale) and in respirator}' therapy in the neonatal period. This risk greatly decreases due to timely injection of surfactant. Pathohistological f eatures of lungs in toddlers with respiratory disorders in the neonatal period were determined.
