Essay

The thesis is devoted to peculiarities of the clinical course of generalized periodontitis in patients with psoriasis. It was revealed high prevalence of periodontal diseases (gingivitis and generalized periodontitis) in patients with psoriasis depends on the age and disease duration in psoriasis. Generalized periodontitis in this category of persons in most cases characterized by a distinct active progressive course, which was accompanied by a decrease of nonspecific resistance and suppression of local immunity of periodontal tissue. An effective integrated pathogenetically justified treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis and psoriasis using immunomodulator erbisol and vitamin product quercetin was developed.
