The dissertation made the systematic analysis of mechanisms of the state administration in youth policy with things considered of particular administrative activities in the city of Kyiv and proposes mechanisms of the optimization of administrative activities in youth policy of Ukraine. It analyzes theoretical and methodological grounds of research on the administration in youth policy and discusses the essence, structure and functions of political and administrative activities in youth policy. It substantiates organizational and legal principles of administrative activity in social defence of youth.
