Essay

This thesis focuses on the analysis of different types of narrators. It is revealed that besides traditional narrators the authors sometimes choose some non-traditional types to show the world from different point of view. This phenomenon is called "defamiliarization". It is exercised through a fictional narrator being outside a reader's previous experience. The narrator may be excluded from the social milieu of the reader (criminal, murderer, werewolf, vampire, ghost, etc.). Such non-traditional points of view as narrative by a horse, a dog, a vase makes it possible to describe things from unexpected angle. The distinguished types of narrators are: anthropological and non-anthropological. Narrators' speech in the 1-st person entrusted narration imitating oral speech is characterized by the stylistic peculiarities in phonetic and graphical linguistic contexts, lexical linguistic context, syntactical linguistic context. Key words: entrusted narration, narrator, type of narrator, аnthropological narrator, non-anthropological narrator, narrative.
