Essay

In this work the features of prolonged neonatal jaundice clinical course were defined depending on existing risk factors and levels of hyperbilirubinaemia; the efficacy of the use of lactulose in infants with significant prolonged neonatal jaundice was studied using clinical and laboratory parameters. More effective treatment of jaundice was achieved with the administration of lactulose in addition to phototherapy.
