Essay

The thesis studied the results of an improved method for correcting myopia subepithelial PRK (SPRK, LASEK) varying degrees (patent of Ukraine № 19350 of 15 December 2006). Improved method , SPRK compared with a standard, allows the early postoperative period is likely to reduce the intensity of 5,8±0,35 to 7,2±0,46 points (p<0,05) and duration of pain syndrome 29,2±0 75, against 32,2±1,1 hours (p<0,05), and reach the cornea reepithelization 4 day in 95,14±1,3% to 87,95±1,17% of eyes (p<0,05). In the late period - provides less expressive HDB, respectively, in subgroups with low degrees of myopia 0,16±0,12 and 0, 34±0,11, (p <0,05), medium-0,19±0,10 and 0,35±0,09, (p <0,05), and high-0,79±0,19 and 0,93±0,19, (p<0,05). "Haze" of cornea frequency decreased from 46,5% to 2,8% (p<0,05) after SPRK and improved from 57,2% to 7,8% (p<0,05) after a standard SPRK. In the remote period (2 years) "haze" of cornea frequency, respectively, 1,9±1,9% and 7,6±2,6% (p<0,05). In the subgroup with a high degree myopia regression refractional marked effect, respectively, to 2,42 diopters. and 3,53 diopters., (p<0,05), and USVA decreased to 0,32±0,03 and 0,21±0,09 (p<0,05). Improved SPRK performed improved method leads to a reduction of the recovery of visual functions in patients, most of which are in working age.
