The author has analyzed historical succession in the development of the institute of public prosecutor’ office in the Ukrainian lands, activity of judicial-public prosecutor’s bodies of the Russian Empire after liquidation of the autonomous system of Ukraine and its expansion on the territory of the Russian state-legal system. The work provides a detailed analysis of organizational and functional methods of the institute of public prosecutor’ office under provisions of the judicial reform of 1894, peculiarities of internal structure of the public prosecutor’ office and the systems of public prosecutor’s supervision.
