Essay

Thesis is devoted to the phenomenon of the genre of choral miniature in modern Ukrainian music. Research is conducted on the material of choral works of V. Zubitsky in which this genre got bright and largely original incarnation. The main content of the dissertation is the identification of correlation between the concepts "monumental - miniature" in various forms of art; examination of historical and theoretical aspects of conception of "musical miniature" in its projections on sphere of choral singing; the features of the development of the genre of choral miniatures in Ukrainian music, the identification of specific character of this genre and the principles of its classification in the modern Ukrainian music.
