Essay

This research is dedicated to investigation of clinical features of the fructose intolerance, improvement of the diagnosis and treatment of this condition and studying it's association with functional bowel disorders. We substantiated the optimal dosage of fructose as a diagnostic substrate for fructose H2 breath test, investigated the frequency of fructose intolerance in patients with functional bowel disorders and the influence of the monosaccharides malabsorption on the clinical picture of the disease. We also improved dietary recommendations for treatment patients with fructose intolerance and substantiated indications for differential prescription diet modification for patients with functional bowel disorders with or without fructose intolerance.
