Pirozhenko O. Punishments that limit property rights of convicts in criminal law of Ukraine

The paper deals with the topical problems of punishments that limit property rights of convicts. The concept and types of punishments that limit property rights of convicts are subject to analysis. Historic peculiarities of formation of fines, correctional work, official limitations for servicemen and confiscation of property are determined. Comparative analysis of national and foreign legislation concerning issues of legal regulation of punishments that limit property rights of convicts is conducted. Criminal-legal problems of provision for and awarding of the punishments concerned are analyzed. Suggestions directed at the perfection of the present-day criminal and penitentiary legislation as well as their application are formulated and grounded.
