Cherevko K. Criminal-legal characteristics of illegal conduct of abortion

The paper presents the results of complex study of criminal-legal characteristics of illegal conduct of abortion. The problem of definition of the beginning of criminal-legal human life protection is considered. Objective and subjective features of the crime provided by article 134 of the penal code of Ukraine are studied in detail. The features that qualify this type of crime are analyzed. Criminal-legal and criminological characteristics of the illegal abortion victim as well as the identity of the criminal who conducted the illegal abortion is presented. On the basis of the received results the author makes scientifically grounded suggestions directed at the perfection of Ukrainian criminal legislation that provides liability for illegal conduct of abortion (thus, a new wording of article 134 of the penal code of Ukraine is presented).
