Essay

This thesis deals with the scientific development to create basic glass and glasscrystalline materials with high lithium ion conductivity in order to use it as solid electrolytes in chemical current sources. Chemical stability of lithium pentaaluminate with respect to metal lithium was shown with thermodynamic calculations confirmed by XRD-method. Glass formation in multilithium region (content B2O3 to 50 mole %) of oxide-salt systems Li2O-LiX-B2O3 (X - SO42-, WO42-) was investigated. The relationship between some glass properties (density, thermal expansion) and the chemical composition was stated. For composite mixes containing "lithium glass - Al2O3" the influence of processing factors (crystalline filler's content and its dispersity, temperature and time of sintering) on phase structure and conductivity of glassceramic materials was investigated. On the basis of multilithium glass in the systems Lі2O-Lі2SO4-B2O3, Lі2O-Lі2WO4-B2O3 and Lі2O-LіF-P2O5 when using principle of a reactionary formation dense glassceramic materials were obtained, crystalline phase composition containing mainly lithium pentaaluminate. These materials with lithium ion conductivity to 7,6·10-5 S/sm. are suitable as solid electrolytes of lithium chemical current sourses.
