Objekt: Iain Banks' novels. Aim: to define the techniques and mechanisms of possible worlds' construction at macrostructural and microstructural levels in five fictional texts by the Scottish writer. Methods: structural-semantical, intertextual, phenomenological. Scientific novelty: this is the first complete analysis in the Ukrainian literary studies of Iain Banks' novelsa at a semantically constructivist perspective, wich its being the first scholarly research of the novels by Iain Banks in Ukraine. Approved in 7 publicatioins. The sphere of use: literature and high sckool practice.
