The thesis is a comprehensive scientific research on theoretical aspects of the legal idealism and legal nihilism as forms of deformation of legal consciousness and the ways of their overcoming. The thesis contains conceptual framework of deformation of legal consciousness in law which includes: the methodology, conception "legal idealism" and "legal nihilism", features of them and the main forms of appearance and causes of dissemination of legal nihilism and legal idealism in Ukraine, and the ways of overcoming legal idealism and legal nihilism in modern society is given.
