Essay

The thesis deals with the mechanisms of exciton relaxation due to electron-phonon interaction of elementary excitations in semiconductor nanostructures. The numerical calculations are applied to extremely small nanostructures. Formation of the photoinduced quantum dots on the surface of Ge, Si and Ge0.3Si0.7 irradiated with pulsed Nd: YAG laser has been characterized by spectroscopic methods. It has been elaborated the physical model of relaxation of electronic excitations in nanoparticle, which allows to explain obtained helium temperature spectra of resonant secondary radiation of excited excitons in nanoscaled CdSe.
