Essay

In the research the methods of using FTA (phototermoacoustic) conversion for non-destructive flaw detection thin-layer optically opaque materials. The process of flaw detection using this transformation is to register an object of elastic vibrations, which arise as a result of uneven heating of the elastic layer under the influence of optical radiation. The analysis of emerging thermoelastic transients. Based on the researches made on the recommendation since the flaw of a particular area of the material. First, the results allowed to choose type of amplitude modulation of optical radiation, which gives the greatest amplitude of elastic vibrations. Comparison of results from the receiver elastic oscillations at arbitrary locations relative to its axis of optical excitation. As a result, was made recommendation on the optimal location of the receiver elastic vibrations. The influence of type of receiver (contact and contactless) the results of flaw detection. Recommended use contactless receiver elastic vibrations. The research results were compared with experimental research. Uncertainty modeling in respect of laboratory results did not exceed 10%.
