Stechyshyn T. Financial instruments in the investments activities of banks.

The object of the work is investment activity of banks in a market economy. The aim of the dissertation is investigation of the place and role of financial instruments in investment activities of banks, as well as identification of priority ways of revitalization of banks activities in the financial market. The methods of the work are the following: theoretical generalization, systematic evaluation and method of scientific deduction; analysis, synthesis and method of graphic images; grouping, comparing and method of dynamic rows; method of economic and mathematical modelling. The results of the paper: theoretical generalizations were given and recommendations for use of financial instruments by banks in the investment activity were developed. The novelty of the work: a definition of an investment portfolio of financial instruments and the optimal order of its formation were proposed; approaches to managing a portfolio of financial instruments were developed. The results of the work are implemented into practical activity of such banks as Bank "Lviv", "Khreschatyk", "UkrSibbank" and in the educational process of Ternopil National Economic University.
