Dissertation is devoted establishment of thermal and electric process depen-dences which provide prevention of explosions during exploitation of flexible power cables, namely to the increase of labor safety on coal mines. The stability of the cable to the influence of factors caused by operating condi-tions and gaskets is investigated. Methods for assessing resistance of the cable to the effects of such factors are substantiated. For the first time the arc short-circuit mode is explored. The significance of pressure shell is established, developed and implemented in a cable design solutions, providing explosion and fire safety of their operation in this mode and have achieved a strengthened hull, the splitting force lived and insulation, as PVC plastic. Valid methods of estimating the parameters of explosion and fire, which lie in the durability of the cable sheath to the overpressure in the arc mode k.z. and determining the resistance of shell stock by hydro. The thermal modes cable has been investigated. Reasonable long - current load for the cable with split main veins. According to studies developed technical requirements for a flexible power cable КГЭШуС-ПБ, which includes the ТУ У 31.3.-31850229-005-2003 "Flexible power cables are screened for voltage 1140 V. Technic conditions".
