Object is the history of studing Ekaterinoslavskaya province. The aim is reserching the archaeological history of Katerinoslavshchina. The research methods are general (analyze and synthesis), special in history (comparative, genitival, typological, systematic, prosographic) and methods for of sources. Carried out the complex study of the process of archaeological investigation of Ekaterinoslavskaya province in the second half of the XIX - beginning of the 30 th years of the XXcentury. Marked out and analysed the stages of development of archeology in the region. Application sphere is learning process.
