Essay

The aim of this paper is development of the technology basics of the acrylic monomers obtaining by the aldol condensation of carbonyl compounds in gas-phase on the solid catalyst. New active and highly selective catalysts for the condensation of acetic and propionic acids with formaldehyde to acrylic and methacrylic acids respectively have been developed. Optimal conditions for reactions have been determined and kinetic model of aldol condensation of propionic acid with formaldehyde on the solid oxide catalysts has been creaded.
