Gulinska M. Conceptual Paradigm of Information Neologisms (A Study of Modern English).

The dissertation is a comprehensive study of neologisms in the sphere of new information technologies. The peculiarities of creation, functioning and fixation ways of different lexical technical innovations in cognitive aspect have been analyzed. The basic cognitive categories representing neologic conceptual system of stated period and coincident concepts have been singled out. The frame analysis of neologisms in the sphere of new computer technologies has proved that lexical units under consideration are correlated with four frame patterns: Thing frame, Action frame, Comparison frame and Possession frame. Prototypical and peripheral frame patterns verbalizing neologisms in the sphere of new information technologies have been defined.
