Zhulavs'ka O. Instantiation of the Concept TERRORIZM in Modern British Newspaper Discourse

The object of the research - the concept TERRORISM as actualized in the modern British newspaper discourse. The subject - the peculiarities of the actualization specificity of the concept TERRORISM. The aim - to expose the specificity of the concept TERRORISM as actualized. Methods of analysis are based on the active anthropocentric version and include both the structural-semantic and cognitive-discursive methods. Scientific originality includes the description of the modi and the structure of the concept TERRORISM, the definition of the structure of the notional category TERRORISM, the exposition of the linguocultural actualization specificity of the concept TERRORISM. The results of the research are the theoretical input into the cognitive-discursive semantics, the theory of the categorization, and the theory of the cognitive metaphor. Practical value consists in the usage of the results in the lectures in the lexicology, linguistics, cognitive semantics and discours study.
