Sevastyanov O. Contribution of the Russian Society for Studying Crimea to the development of local history researches (1922-1932)

Object - a scientific heritage of scientists and the regional specialists united in 20 - in the beginning of 30th ХХ century in the Russian society on studying of Crimea (RSSC). The purpose - studying of form and content of scientific heritage RSSC, definition of its place and a role in development of a historiography of that period. Methods - historical, chronological, logic, comparative, system-structural, inductive, deductive, abstraction, the prosopografic analysis and a biohistoriography. The dissertation is devoted research of activity and scientific heritage RSSC, scientific public organization which was one of the most mass and active crimeaology societies 20 - the beginnings of 30th ХХ century in the USSR. For the first time in a domestic historiography the basic directions of scientific researches and popularies actions of members of the Society are analysed. The analysis of a scientific heritage of members RSSC on questions of history, archeology, ethnography and the bibliography of Crimea has shown that the author of dissertation has expanded the general representations about development of movement of regional studies in the USSR and Crimean ASSR during 20 - the beginnings of 30th ХХ century. Is defined the role RSSC and its separate members the further development of scientific studying of Crimea, conclusions concerning the contribution of the Society to the organization of studies of regional studies to Crimea are formulated.
