Stashenko O. Collapse-therapeutically methods in complex treatment for patients with destructive pulmonary tuberculosis in modern conditions

Subject of research: newly diagnosed destructive pulmonary tuberculosis (NDDPT); goal - to improve the effectiveness of treatment of patients with NDDPT through the use of collapse-therapeutic methods in complex treatment of such category of patients in a modern standardized antibacterial therapy; research methods: common clinical, laboratory, radiological, microbiological, histological , instrumental, statistical; novelty - has been improved the medical tactics of application of artificial pneumothorax (AP) and pneumoperitoneum (PP) in the treatment of patients with NDDPT. Has been defined the need of application of AP and PP considering the structure of morbidity of pulmonary tuberculosis. For the first time the simultaneous use of AP and PP technology has been proposed in the complex treatment of patients with NDDPT. For the first time the use of spiral computer tomography has been suggested to evaluate the disintegration cavities closing in conditions of AP. The efficiency of using collapse-therapeutic methodology have been defined, also has been proved that as a result of its application the terms of in-patient treatment are reduced, the ceasing frequency of bacteria discharge is increased and the percentage of disintegration cavities closings is increased in comparison solely with standardized antibiotic therapy.
