The object: the epic novels by S. Zeromski "Popioly" and L. Tolstoy "War and Peace". The aim: to characterize the typology and specification of narrative strategies of S. Zeromski and L. Tolstoy in the epic novels "Popioly" and "War and Peace". The Practical importance: in studying of history of Polish and Russian literary interactions, in teaching courses of history of Polish literature, special courses of comparativistics, in writing of textbooks. The methods: comparative-historical, structural-narrative, descriptive, comparative-typological, hermeneutical.
