Essay

The parameters of endocardiac hemodynamics, heart rate variability, endothelial function and function of the external breathing (FEB) were studied 67 patients with arterial hypertension (AH) of the stage II and chronic alcohol intoxication (CAI). In patients with AH and CAI observed dilatation of the right ventricle, left atrium, the aorta against a background of low (aged 24-44 years) or unchanging (aged 45-59 years) total peripheral vascular resistance. There are signs of sympathicotonia, obstructive disorders of the FEB found more often than in patients without CAI. The expediency of how to allow the use of selective b-blockers for antihypertensive therapy of patients with AH and CAI is based on this investigation.
