Essay

Cytological criteria for evaluation of the effect of chemotherapeutics upon tumor cells in vivo are proposed which includes the analysis of cell dimension distribution in population; morphometric computer-linked analysis of smears stained by azure-eosin, bromophenol blue, hematoxylin and neutral red. Indexes for quantitation of cell damage are defined. Sapogenins of Great celandine and Spurge olive exhibited cytotoxicity towards NK/Ly cells, yet therapeutic effect was nonsignificant.
