Kovtonyuk O. Financing of international trade operations.

The thesis provides with the analysis of modern trends in financing of international trade transactions. In the course of investigation, the author has concluded on significant export potential of Ukraine, which can be explored thanks to adequate financing mechanisms access. The work reflects on the economical substance of the trade finance instruments, as operations with financial assets and liabilities of exporters and importers. Principal tools of trade finance are currency, credit, deposit and insurance operations, derivatives and others. The author has developed an institutional framework of international trade finance, which includes four principal links. Namely these are: international institutions which develop norms and customs for international trade finance operations; financial institutions; companies arranging insurance and guaranteeing; and professional associations, which coordinate the global trade financing patterns. Systematization of the principal trade financing mechanisms together with their main characteristics is provided in the thesis.
