Bogdan I. Forecasting Methods of the Fixed Capital Formation

Thesis is devoted to elaboration of the forecasting methods for gross fixed capital formation by the institutional sectors of the economy as a component of national economy's governance. On the base of investigation of the theoretical concepts of fixed capital formation and analysis of the peculiarities of the investments in Ukrainian economy the author defines the factors of accumulation for every institutional sector. A conceptual apparatus of fixed capital formation is improved that provide for objective reflection of the intra-sector investments transfers. A methodological apparatus and a model of fixed capital formation are elaborated, that rely on economic and mathematical methods. Proposed apparatus permits to carry out the forecasting and analytical computations of the fixed capital formation scenarios by the institutional sectors of the economy. Proposed methods are applied by working out of the long-term forecast of the fixed capital formation in the sectors' divisions up to 2020. The role and significance of the long-term forecasts of fixed capital formation within a system of state forecasting of the social and economic development of the country is explained. The author defines the role of relevant forecasts for all institutional sectors of the economy as the tools for specification of the priorities of state investment and structural policies.
