Thesis is devoted to the investigation of Jean Genet's novelistic prose as the integrated philosophical and aesthetic phenomenon. The crucial role of marginality and marginal consciousness in the forma-tion of Jean Genet's ethical-aesthetic concept and art world has been deter-mined. In the research the master's novelistic prose has been investigated complexly in the context of the writer's creativity and the literary process of the epoch. In the writer's novelistic works the specificity of actualization of the key concepts of being (God, nature, freedom, human, etc) and author's position has been revealed. It has been proved, that artist's novelistic heritage and his dramatic art had been connected, progressive formation of Jean Genet's ethical-aesthetic concept from novelistic period to further periods of his work has been demonstrated. The genre content, genre dominants, Jean Genet's novels features of autofictionality in the aspect of interaction of movements and trends, genres in XX century literature. The originality of writer's novels poetics on the different levels of the text structure (mythopo-etic, figurative, symbolical, intertextual, style, language, etc). The meaning of phytosymbolics, colours symbolics in mythosymbolic modeling of Jean Genet's art world has been revealed.
