Essay

This dissertation investigates the interaction of classic and nonclassic verses in the poetry of a famous Ukrainian poet Vasyl Holoborodko. For the first time in this paper we run systemic and holistic analyses of V. Holoborodko's strophics and metrics. This paper also reveals artistic originality of the poet's works, specific forms of his dialogue with traditional classic poetry and the phenomena typical for creative research of XX century. We reviewed the main investigations dedicated to the issue of verse libre and analyzed in great depth the peculiarities of verse libre forms dominant in the works of the author. The analysis of free verses shows that poets's strophics is very rich varying from monostrophic constitutions to extended polystrophic texts, we also studied the methods for versific strophe composition.
