Delas V. Banking on the currency market of Ukraine

Theoretical basis and practical recommendations concerning banking activity on foreign exchange market of Ukraine are elaborated in the research. The essence of foreign exchange operations of banks is disclosed and their place in the banking is defined. The essence and the mechanism of foreign exchange market of Ukraine are investigated. It has been proved that banks obtain the leading positions among other entities of the foreign exchange market as well as their role and place on it has been defined. The basic principles of domestic foreign exchange regulation are elaborated and the place of banks in aggregated foreign exchange control system is disclosed. The functions of the banks in intermediary activity according to the economic interests of exchange relations entities are explored. The features of currency conversion operations of banks and international payments operations are defined. The necessity and basis of currency risk management of bank are investigated and a comprehensive scheme of analysis of the effectiveness of bank activity in the currency area is developed. The necessity of currency portfolio forecasting considering the forecast of macroeconomic development is proved effective and the model of such forecast is developed
