Sidash Y. Using a local photoactivated disinfection of root canals and immunоcorrection funds in the complex treatment of patients with chronic apical periodontitis.

In the thesis presents new solution actual problems of stomatology, focused on treatment efficacy in patients with chronic apical periodontitis by using modified photoactivated disinfection of root canals and immunocorrection. Results of clinical work is based on a survey of 98 patients diagnosed with 209 teeth affected by chronic apical periodontitis, 98 (47%) teeth with chronic granulating periodontitis and 111 (53%) teeth with chronic granulomatous periodontitis. The control group consisted of 15 somatically healthy people. Research has established that the presence of concomitant somatic pathology, multiple nidus of odontogenic infection aggravates the condition and leads to a decrease in local immunity in patients with chronic apical periodontitis. Detected immunological changes in capillary blood and biopsy granuloma and granulation tissue in chronic granulating and chronic granulomatous periodontitis. Justified the technique of photoactivated disinfection of root canals in the health-instrumental treatment of root canals and in the immunocorrection complex treatment of chronic apical periodontitis with polypeptide drug "Timalin". Conducted clinical X-ray examination, physical, microbiological, immunological and immunohistochemical studies have shown that the application of the proposed method of treatment leads to a decrease in nidus of destruction in the periapical area, increases the effectiveness of treatment, which allows recommending it for use.
