The thesis is devoted to the examination of theoretical and methodological as well as organizational and legal bases of the counteraction to information wars in Ukraine, and also of legal means and factors of influence on the mechanisms, which are used in the sphere of counteraction to information wars in the conditions of formation and development the information society in Ukraine. The place and the role of information safety of Ukraine in structure of national safety of Ukraine has been defined, the legal maintenance of the basic concepts and categories of information safety has been specified.
