Essay

The thesis established "style portrait" of Vladimir Horowitz - performer. Solo performing style Vladimir Horowitz considered as a vivid embodiment of the romantic tradition of performance. On the example of V. Horowitz tested methodology was the genealogical tree of performing style that helped to clarify the question of the genesis of the style pianist. For the first time "sound image" piano is considered as important parameter of Music and Performing idea. The evolution of the performing style of Vladimir Horowitz and offered its periodization.
