Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the questions of improvement of the lime production process in shaft countercurrent lime-stone kilns. The improvement follows from altering the required modes of loading carbonate raw material and reshaping the embankment surface in a shaft with provided parameters. This results in an increased output of usable product and a decreased consumption of natural gas. The framework mathematical model of shaping embankment surfaces has been worked out and realized on EOM. This model takes into account the motion direction of the material stream during the loading process, the structural features of the stove aggregate and the possibility of adjusting the geometrical parameters of embankment in a kiln (height and angle of slope) based on data obtained from radar surface scanning. Based on the results of experimental research for estimating surface relief, a flow-chart of an algorithm has been worked out. The algorithm allows the application of radar technology for determining the slope angle of the embankment surface of the raw materials. According to results of mathematical modeling of the heat and mass exchange processes in a shaft kiln, the influence of height of the raw materials embankment on the quality of the lime production and the thermal balance of kiln has been noticed both for even surfaces and for cone shaped surfaces with angles of slope varying from 0 to 50 degrees. The technological requirements to configuration of surface of embankment in a shaft have been determined. That provides maximal increase of degree of burning of limestone by 6,5%, and reduction of specific expense of natural gas to 9 kg c.f./t. The structure of the measuring informative system is offered on the area of burning of JSC "DMZ n/a Petrovsky". The functional appointment of this system is to the determine technological parameters and to make a correction of influences for CU by the transporter system of furnace-charge with possibility of blocking and warning against the achievement of critical values of height of embankment charge.
