The thesis is devoted to developing theoretical and methodological and practical guidelines for the employment of the rural population. The results of the study are: deepening organizational economic content of the category "rural employment"; assessment of the current state of employment in the southern rural region and eliciting the characteristic features of rural employment and the main factors of its formation in rural areas; systematization of the main reasons that reduce the level of rural employment; analysis of the rural labor market of the southern region by means of socio-economic and demographic indicators.
